Comprehensive consultation was undertaken with the board of trustees, principal and teaching staff to strategically site the project. The new KDEC block sits both within the upper and lower levels of the school, making it a key facility that completely integrates KDEC students with the rest of the school. The plan is modest and efficient – circulation space is minimised in order to augment the gallery and open learning spaces.
